The city of Shiraz is one of the most beautiful and attracting tourists in Iran with its antiquities and unspoiled urban fabric, vineyards and famous wines. Shiraz, known as a city of culture and art for centuries, has titles such as ‘Iran’s cultural capital’ ‘city of poets’ and ‘city of roses’. Today Shiraz is one of the most important industrial and commercial centers of the Persian region.

Nasir Al Mulk Mosque
A mosque identified with Shiraz, also known as the pink mosque. When the sun’s rays hit the windows, the interior of the mosque turns into a revelation of color. The time to go to see this color revelation is between 07.00 and 11.00. After 11.00, the angle of the sun changes and the colors go because there is no sun hitting the glass.
The entrance to this beautiful garden, which is also listed by UNESCO, is 200.000 Riyal. During this time, you can visit a rocky area, a pool, rose gardens and a palace and sit in the greenery. This is one of the most remote areas in Shiraz, but I strongly recommend you to see it.
The surrogate bazaar is a longitudinal covered bazaar as in other cities in Iran. Many residents of the city do shopping around here. It is a beautiful market which is extremely important for tourists. You can buy many handmade products such as fabrics, souvenirs, sepha covers here.
Persapolis is 55 km away from Shiraz and the ruins of a palace where the Iranian story began. It is a place where you can trace many details about the Persian Empire and the remaining artifacts. You can visit the story of the stones on the ceiling of the palace and the cemeteries, see the foundations of the 100-column palace and imagine what it was like during the period.
Arg of Karim Khan
Located in the city center, this castle has an interesting architecture, all made of bricks. This castle, which should have been built for defensive purposes, seems to have only aesthetic concerns with its rounded lines. The fortress walls are about 14 meters high and are well preserved.
